MEME: Grief never ends, but it changes ....//the work of christmas is to find the lost, to heal

"Grief never ends...but it changes.

Its a passage not a place to stay.

Grief is not a sign of weakness nor a lack of faith.
Its a price of love."

After celebrating the work of Christmas begins:

"...to find the lost,
to heal the broken,
to feed the hungry,
to release the prisoner,
to rebuild the nations,
to bring peace among people,
to make music ... in the heart."

i\'m very sick with a cold or flu and feel awful! made it through christmas dinner at k\'s and then around 11:00 p.m. started feeling worse and worse. by the time i met jn at 2:30 a.m. to pick up n\'s shirts, i was getting a full blown cold or flu. felt AWFUL this morning so i layed outside for two hours on a lounge chair, in england they call it \"airing out\" (it works), as always the salt air gets rid of a lot of congestion in the lungs. took 2 vitamin c and cold meds and losengers for throat.

just started \"sweet caroline\" a biography of caroline kennedy. the library-guy said if i\'d bought it during the bigger book sale it was buy one get one. hopefully i\'ll remember that in the spring for the next one. picked up college stuff for a, the top 100 - i\'d almost forgotten what all this is like - so much to do.

bobp showed up. yay. installed the new gate. painted the mail post. cut the limbs. taped the electrical and did the lawn. he does such great work, i hate to lose him. he was offered his old job back as an electrician, they claim they have about six solid years of work for new construction but he doesn\'t want it. he is too used to running his own hours, working when he wants and walking five miles every morning, stopping to have brunch with his father once per week and just doing as he pleases even if it is less money. he says he finally realized he was working to pay others to do what he didn\'t have time to do and most of it he can do himself at his own pace, its all bull shit the other way. he also wants to get an rv and leave everything like stevek is doing with a 45 foot boat, but stevek wants to sail the pacific ocean and the world for 15 years or as long as it lasts .... and bobp wants to rv park usa for a few years. both are lucky to have their health to do that, but better do it soon, all that bad health crap creeps up on you and hits you unexpectedly.

i tried taking stronger iron pills and had bleeding from it right away. whatever is wrong i think its in my stomach. between aspirin and this iron crap, i think i\'m doing a number on my stomach. scary though.

Sorry you\'re sick! Me too! In my case, it\'s weather induced. I\'d love to come lay outside with you in the Florida sunshine.

Love the grief writing. I\'m grieving the loss of my hubby. FIrst Christmas without him. I realize that grief is a journey I\'m on. I pray that I don\'t get stuck in any phase of it. I feel as though I\'m moving forward. Lots of support. I smile a lot. I miss him, but I\'m going on with my life. He\'d want it that way.

No way to describe how the pain of grief just ambushes you while you\'re doing just some menial chore. It\'s crazy. It\'s a journey! I\'ll make it! xo
