Melt down in the frozen food aisle
As I was trying to avoid other shoppers in the grocery store this morning I dodge around a stalled cart and saw a clear aisle to sale toward the checkouts. It happened to be the frozen food aisle and as I sped down it I glanace into the freezer cases and saw the display of Snickers ice cream bars.
What a bittersweet memory that brougth to the surface. At first there were a few tears but then the wonderful memory took there place. When our children were little, and gas was cheaper we would head out for a trip to who knows where :). All six of us would load up in our conversion van (remember I said gas was cheaper), first stop was the grocery store where I would run in and get a package of Snickers ice cream bars, 6 bars in a package, one for each of us. Now the adventure began. Everytime we came to a corner or stop sign, one of the kids could choose left, right or straight. We explored much of south eastern Wyoming on these memorable afternoon drives. Oh how happy I would be to relive those days.

Honey, you just DID relive those days...and what\'s more, you just took me along with you!!! :-) Vern and I used to prowl the back roads when, as you say, gas was cheap...that was our fun thing to do and a way to learn about the country surrounding where we lived.
