Melt down
I melted down at work yesterday. I had made a minor mistake on payroll. I hardly ever make mistakes and I immediately found it and went to my boss. I fixed it yesterday but my boss told me she felt like I was distracted, its actually I'm detached from work and dealing with her.
At this point I want her to fire me. My last coworker quit and I'm no quitter.
I intend to make everything on my terms. I feel she's been taking her frustrations out on me. Everything was running smoothly till I had to take my coworkers repiticious duties over which has not been good for me. I just get to the point where I avoid her and dont talk unless I have to.
I didnt even wanna get out of bed this morning. It can't be Friday soon enough.

For what it's worth
Even when I am the rightiest right in the whole right pack, trying to make everything fit **my terms** puts my control freakitis in charge of the proceedings. I keep ending up with further proof that I should be careful what I wish for. I might get ^it^.

Or just start looking looking for another job?
Personally speaking, I’ve quit a few jobs over my work life, (have had some kind of job since I was 16) for work culture reasons, pay, or growth. I never felt like a quitter for doing so but rather just taking care of myself and my own needs. I haven’t though quit a job without having another job lined up.
I have quit jobs and I have been fired from jobs. Personally, I would rather quit on my own terms rather then continue to do a job I didn't like doing.. I never felt like a quitter....I felt like I was letting go of the old to bring in the new, so to speak. I felt like I was bettering myself.
The times when I got fired, It was traumatic for me! I didn't want to live anymore.....I was devastated, especially because I couldn't collect unemployment, although it might be different now,
I have seen both sides though. As a supervisor, I had to fire someone. It was traumatic for me and I had alot of sleepless nights as a result. Taking away someones livelihood is something I never ever, wanted to do again, and I never did.
In the back of my mind, I'm still bothered by what she said to me about leading a fellow coworker on just by talking to him. I feel it was inappropriate and insulting.
