Meghan Markle's Baby Bump Style

It’s been just over a week since the big announcement of a new royal baby! All eyes have been on Meghan Markle while on their Australian and Fiji travels, and her maternity style is just as chic as always. I love this beachy fun look that Meghan wore in Sydney, Australia on October 19th. Everything from the long hemline to the stripes – this dress style is already on my make list for next summer.

The pattern on the left – our Dropped Waist Maxi Dress has the tiered seams that allow for that unique stripe placement. But for a more convertible look perfect for the beach, try sewing our Retro Capri Suit in a striped fabric, just place the stripes going along the waistband for a similar look.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped out in these royal looks for the official opening of the extension of the ANZAC Memorial in Hyde Park on October 20. Meghan looked elegant as ever and perfectly dressed for the occasion in this button up black dress.

To get the look, try sewing this Button Front Dress from the 08/2013 issue and simply crop the sleeves. Then switch out the front buttons for a contrasting white selection.

On October 21st Meghan attended a reception hosted by the Prime Minister of Australia wearing this ultra-chic outfit complete with a striking blazer.

Now for my favorite dress she as worn since announcement – this casual striped dress she wore as she walked along the picturesque Kingfisher Bay Jetty on October 22. So effortless and fashionable!

Just grab some striped linen (like this) and sew a tube-like silhouette dress with straight across neckline and side slits. I like these patterns, on the left is our Summer Dress – just lengthen the hemline and add a belt! Or you can try this Linen Dress pattern, just add straps and a belt.

Meghan looked stunning in blue in Fiji as she attended a state dinner hosted by the president of the South Pacific nation.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the University of the South Pacific campus in Fiji on October 24th looking colorful and bright!

I always love a good wrap dress, and although not a wrap, our Boho Midi Dress does the trick. Then on the left we have this Plus Size Wrap Dress, and with the addition of a fun pom-pom belt, it’s perfectly Meghan!
