Medication Changes
Today I started the increase of Celexa, and it seems to be working already. I think it has to be in my head, but this antidepressant is working well for me. When I started on it in August in the hospital I felt better right away, and today I increased it and I feel better already. I had a good day today, in other words. I'm feeling good in general. Geo and I watched TV and I wasn't fussy, even though it was a three hour program. I'm not super tired right now, even though it's around bedtime (normally when I'm tired I can't sleep, and when I'm not tired I can fall asleep okay). I know my body makes no sense with sleep except that it can't do it right. I wake up in the middle of the night, I can't fall asleep in the first place, I can't fall back asleep when I wake up super early, I wake up a ton of times in the middle of the night, you name it. The only kind of sleep problems I don't have is sleepwalking. I can stay in bed in the middle of the night, and that's about it. I'm not remembering my dreams again, so I don't know if I'm having nightmares or not. I know I have them often when I do remember my dreams. Anyway, I'm feeling better on the increase of the Celexa.
Today volunteering was easy. The computer system was down, so all I had to do was tell people that the system was down, take down their information and tell them that we would call them back. In the middle of my shift the computers came up for a bit, but then they went back down again. They were doing everything the old fashioned way- paper. It was nice, and the doctors actually saw people faster because they weren't spending all their time entering everything into the computer. I just feel bad for the people who tried to get appointments today, since they weren't able to. Well, they will be called tomorrow and they will get their appointment, so that's not that big of a deal, but sometimes people come to the clinic just to make the appointment since the line is hard to get through on. Still, it was nice. I didn't have to work with the girl I don't like again, it was a nice girl I've worked with before. It seems that they are having trouble with another volunteer, so I get to see what happens when a volunteer gets in trouble. I'm wondering not to be nosy, but just in case I get in trouble. I know they can't fire us, but they can tell us not to come back. I don't know what kind of repercussions that would hold for me, but I think the lady that is in trouble is going to lose money if she loses her volunteer position. Ah, the normal drama of the workplace!
Last night I slept a bit better. I was able to sleep until almost 6:30 this morning before I woke up. Normally lately I wake up around 4-5am and don't fall back asleep until 7. Today I was only up for about an hour. I had to take a klonopin to get back to sleep, but that's okay. I'm just taking it while I need it (which my doctors know about). I felt pretty good today in regards to being tired... I had my coffee, but it was just nice to have coffee. I needed it at first to get out of bed, but once I got rolling I felt better. Sometimes when I get home from work I'm just tired and can't do anything, but today I was good. Geo actually cooked dinner, so I didn't have to. I had the energy to, he just got to it first before I did. He and I have this thing where we start dinner at the same time every day, and sometimes he gets to it before I do. I like to have my dinner on the table by 7, so that means starting it at 6. I don't mind cooking, but neither does he. It's only when I'm tired from a long day that I mind cooking (like I was yesterday, tired from going shopping and all that). It's nice to have Geo around because he helps me when I need it, like yesterday cooking. I helped him out later yesterday with his DVD rack that fell over, picking up stuff because it's hard for him to bend over. We help each other out with what we need.
Food was good today... I didn't eat a lot of veggies again, but I got most of my calories in. I'm low on my protein a bit, but that's okay since I had plenty of it yesterday. I need to get to the store where I can get the salad so I can start eating my veggies again. I forgot to get spinach at the store when I went on Sunday, since I like to have meatloaf with spinach in it. Oh well. Stress was low today, it was just nice to be at work and be relaxed. Sleep and mood I already talked about above, so that's it for tonight!
