Medical Update
Did my entry yesterday & realized last night that I shd of waited till after my diabetes dr appt today & did a more thorough entry. Oh well.
I always have to go to him with abt 2 wks worth of recorded blood tests-before breakfast, before lunch, before dinner & before bed. This last visit he wanted me to do a blood test 2 hrs after every meal so he could better judge the insulin I take before each meal & how it's handling my diet. There were a few highs(190's) & lows(below65) (a few more lows then highs). He was really quite pleased though, just wants me to check my carbs around supper time cause my highs occur later in the day.
I had been concerned when he did a B12 check cause I thought OK whats up. He reported it was perfectly normal which I was pleased with.
My Hemoglobin A1C which monitors the blood sugar level over a 3 month period was 6.9, anything under 7 is considered very good. I'd like it be lower then that yet but I can get pretty fussy with myself sometimes.
Does anyone ever get frustrated with all the bad news you hear now a days on radio, TV, etc., etc. I know I do & so often something comes up which will make me stop & think abt what good I could do to add to the world.
Here's something for you. What would you complete this line with.
If I could do something to help the world...........................................
Mine is - If I could do something to help the world - I would of gone down to where the oil spill was & help clean beaches, nature areas and birds & mammals & I would volunteer for wildlife & nature conservation in general.
Hope everyone's doing really swell.
