Med ID Bracelets
I'm feeling a bit better as I think of creative ways to have a cute medical ID bracelet.I literally cried the first time I heard I had to wear one.Granted, I was under a lot of stress since I had just had bilateral PEs, so I was crying pretty easily. I like clothes. I like fashion. I want to look cute. Some call my style funky.One of my colleagues recently told me that I was raising the bar for attaire in our workplace! So, I refuse to wear a fugly ID bracelet. I am excited about my new one. I think that it is cute enough that those who don't have to take coumadin will wish they did!I also ordered a one from etsy that I can only describe as "rockstar"! It will take about 3 weeks, since it is being handmade, but I can wait.I have ideas for crafting my own... I'm taking on the challenge to have a medical ID "wardrobe" of cute bracelets!

You can buy the stand-alone charms, which would make it easy to them craft your own. I used www.americanmedical-id.com to get my bracelet and was very pleased with the quality and price..although what I bought was hardly a fashion piece, I did get compliments (which peoples faces when I told them it was a medical id bracelet was always funny).
I never minded wearing mine, but that was also because I hate taking my purse around so I rarely have ID on me, and my biggest fear was getting in a car accident and I knew I needed to have information on me.
I\'ve been taken off warfarin for now, and I miss my bracelet, it actually gave me a lot of security. I have plans to replace it with something new, although I do want the new item to be pretty. hehe. Sorry, this was a waffle more than advice!

I actually ordered a heart-shaped charm that comes with a lobster clasp. I just got a customer service e-mail that it shipped today!
The cool thing about it is that I can just move it from bracelet to bracelet...
awww leave it to a fellow crafter to find a cute medical alert bracelet youll have to send me some pix, i dont have one yet! and i have 6 more months oncoumadin! seems like we both have similar style lol, very funky/cute
I know wha you mean about \'fugly\' medic alert bracelets... I bought loads of beads and things and made up my own just using the actual alert part of the bracelet.. Ive now got three on my right wrist and I love them :) they are sooooooooooo cool and funky and the best part is that you can hardly see the clunky medic alert.
