Measuring my calorie intake - I failed on day 1
Failed the calorie intake target
So, yesterday I used an online calorie calculator. Kept entering all the foods I had eaten for breakfast, lunch, snacks. I was doing good. For dinner, I still had enough calories left against my daily goal, I was fast approaching the carbs target, was far from the fat, protein and sugar goals.
But by dinner time, it was time to relax after a crazy day spent mostly in front of the computer. So to unwind, had some wine, and more, and yet some more. At the back of my mind, I knew I was doing the wrong thing.
For dinner, my resolution of having more salads and fruits rather than carbs, went out the window (obviously, with so much wine inside me!). So, I was 200 calories over my target, I earned a negative scoring in carbs and sugars too.
And no exercise through the day. I was in front of the comp from 9am to 9.30 pm, cooped up inside a room.
And the above makes it quite obvious that I slept late, and then woke up late today. Energy levels have remained so low for many weeks now.
From today, I have decided to get into a more regular routine of work and sleep. Will try to sleep by 10.30, and up at 6.30, 8 hours. Problem is the cold weather too, it is almost night at that time in the morning.
I give myself a week to get into this routine. And hoping hard that a week is not too long and I don't slip into my bad habits.
Keeping my fingers crossed!
