Me versus his new iPhone?
I haven't written in this journal for quite a while because things had been going fairly well...or at least as well as can be expected. However, ever since my husband got his new iPhone, I feel like I am being totally ignored. We work two jobs, both together so it's not like we have a lot to say to each other, but he just doesn't treat me like he used to (he used to treat me like I was his one and only), but now it seems like his stupid iPhone is taking my place...like I'm being replaced with what is essentially a machine. He promised me that he would try to be more loving around Christmas and that we could try to have a baby after Christmas (I'm 44 years old with a 23 year old daughter from a previous relationship....so you can see how my biological clock is going off!!!), but it's been at least 2 months since we have had intimate relations....do you can see how that is throwing off the baby making if we aren't even having sex. If it wasn't that we are together practically 24/7 I would have thought that maybe he was having an affair, but the only way he could be doing that is by text message or emails. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing?? What does everyone else think? I would love some feedback!!

my suggestion would be to sit down and try to talk with him again. tell him that you are concerned that he\'s not interested in having a baby anymore, and that the iphone is really bothering you. i would try open communication first. if that doesn\'t work, then maybe you should look into more extreme measures (checking the phone bill if you are worried he\'s texting someone else?). but for now, i think the best thing would just be to tell him how you feel and ask him how HE feels, where he stands, how he feels about not spending time together, the baby, etc?
I have tried sitting down with him several times especially about the baby thing. The stuff about the phone doesn\'t bother me as much as having the baby does. The problem is that we don\'t get intimate anymore...and so how are we supposed to be trying to have a baby if we aren\'t having sex? He says it\'s a side effect of the medication that he is on (which he is trying to get off of because it kills his sex drive.). He says he wants a baby as much as I do but he isn\'t acting like it. As for the texting or emailing with another woman, I can\'t check the bill because our carrier only states phone calls on our bill and not text messages. The only thing I can possibly do is to check his email account or his phone when he isn\'t looking...which seems to be an invasion of privacy, of you ask me.
Thanks for your input though,
Joanne
