Me Me Me
Putting other people's needs before your own used to be the unselfish thing to do. It was standard fare for a woman. It's hard to switch gears. That's pretty much what we're trying to do, isn't it? Retrain ourselves. I feel like I'm trying to change what I used to think was the best part of me. Now it's the stupid part of me. It used to be what men valued. Now they use it to hurt us. It's kind of like having to face the fact that everything you gave of yourself had no value. I'm kinda down today. You can probably tell that. Sorry everyone. In some ways we're dealing with a culture change. Now we have the ME generation. We don't fitĀ in it anymore. We have to change or hurt. Those are the choices.
