maybe it's this time of year?

T-Man - I still believe he's clean.  I confiscated his cell phone while he was sleeping and won't be having it anytime soon.  He went to his friend's cottage for an overnight and I know it was on the up and up.  We know these things. Well, he never called while he was there and we hadn't talked to him all the next day and into the late evening (11:30PM).  He answered and said that they had just arrived back from the trip and the reason he hadn't called or returned our calls was because his backpack was in the trunk. Okay - I buy that. Before I hung up I reminded him to be home at 1AM.  He said okay and has been very good about that.  Well, I woke up @ 3AM (when J came home) (J was very sober -BTW) and T wasn't home.  I called and left text messages on T's phone.  Well...this morning he was in his bed when I took the phone.  His excuses for all this time (before we gave him his phone back) was he didn't call because he didn't have a phone.  Well, no more excuses.  The upside - there was no drug talk whatsoever (no surprise) and all the calls or text messages were from his gf.  So THAT is a good thing. As far as J is concerned - until we see outward behavior that he's using or has a problem that we can't help him with - then we'll have the moving out discussion.  I just can't send him on his way, just yet.  He did so poorly on his own the last time and now he's getting straight A's, is a pleasure to have around, and is maturing before our eyes.  On the other hand, I am going to monitor his messaging and if I see a continuous pattern - I am going to have to tell him that if I see anything or hear anything - I am going to take action - kick him OUT and alert the police because we will NOT tolerate any drug usage or selling in our household!!
