May you live in interesting times

"May you live in interesting times"An old English saying attributed to the Chinese, but that's just rumor not fact, seems to be active these days.
I've been struggling. My moral has pretty much been in the tank. The pdoc has turned out to be a flake. I didn't get the lidocaine patch and all he did was increase the nightly dose of Lyrica. I had to badger him even for that. I also asked about the references to a counselor and the support groups he mentioned, and nada. In fact, all I've been able to do was talk to his assistant, "Steve." Its pretty frustrating.
My puppy Marco is a lot of work. I had posted an ad saying I was looking for an indoor dog that was pretty calm and got along with cats. The person I got him from said the pup was 6 months old, house trained, and very calm. He said the reason he wanted to get rid of him was because of their cat. I told him it wouldn't work, and the guy said that it wasn't the dog, but the cat that kept attacking the dog, and that the dog got along well with other cats. Well we took the chance and he was very friendly and loving upon our first meeting.
Well, Marco was not house broken at all. He's had about four accidents, even though I've been doing my best to keep up on taking him out. As well, he's probably more like 4 months old, and he's a huge ball of energy. In addition, he does NOT get along with my cat. He's always going after him... although I think its in a playful manner.
He does "ok" if I can take him out for an hour and a half every day for exercise, but due to weather and my pain, I can't do that every single day. When he's not taken out, he's a terror. As well, I'm cage training him because I cannot leave him loose in the house. Even when he doesn't crap inside, if I don't watch him closely, he'll tear the place apart. A few days ago, I had let him run in the house, and in a period of five minutes, he found the crawlspace under some stairs and proceeded to tear up and drag out some insulation!!!
I'm not yet ready to get rid of him as the other night he proved himself to be very protective. An adult male boxer had wandered close to the yard and thank goodness I had Marco on a leash because Marco took after him, and he wasn't playing! I was actually pretty proud of the pup after that. He chased the other dog away.
I'm sick of being cooped up and not really getting any other help from any doc I've gone to. So, I'm taking matters into my own hand. I'm now utilizing my "green thumb" and that's all I'm going to say on the matter. Hopefully I'll see the fruits of my labor in five months or so.
Yesterday's attack in Europe really pissed me off. What happened is a prime example of how the disease of political correctness and "multi-culturalism" effects a nation. One of the people I follow on facebook (a sports star) posted about praying. I posted that Islam is evil. Well, I got a ton of replies. I am rather well versed on the subject, having been a serious student of Islam since 9/11, and got into a discussion. That lead into a discussion of Christianity, and out of the blue I got back into it again.
No one here knows yet, but at one time I was a minister in training. I'm very well versed in the bible and have very strong convictions. I ended up defending Christianity quite well and was able to show the evils of Islam.
Its strange that every time I feel like I'm being pulled away from the Lord, or have taken my eyes off Him, He always finds some way to draw me close to Him again. All I know is that being a Christian doesn't mean i'm perfect, holier than thou, and that I even try to be that way. I'm a Christian because I know how much of a broken sinner I am, and how much I can screw up my own life. I'm a Christian because I need God. I need Jesus, because without Him I can't do anything.
Also at times when I'm most depressed and at my lowest, for some reason, I suddenly become a sex freak. Thank God that I have a good woman and that Jesus never lets me go where I shouldn't.
I've just been on a very crazy emotional roller coaster. The pain, the crappy doctors, the wild puppy, and everything else just seems to pile on me.
I'm just putting one foot in front of the other, not by my strength but by God's. I can't do this alone. Every single day is a reminder to me of that. I need help and always will for the rest of my life. I am weak, but He is strong.

Jesus loves me, this I know. For the Bible tells me so.Little ones to Him belong. They are weak, but He is strong.Yes, Jesus loves me.Yes, Jesus loves me.Yes, Jesus loves me, for the Bible tells me so!

I\'m really sorry you\'re struggling so much. Things go wrong and shit happens to people everyday but I think, when you add non stop pain to it, it feels like you\'re constantly getting kicked while you\'re down and everything seems overwhelming.

It really sucks and sure as hell doesn\'t help that you\'re getting screwed over by doctors, I know what thats like because I\'ve been there too and I hate to say it, but thats probably going to the only thing you can do until you find one that gives a damn..I spent years going to anyone who\'d listen until I finally found one who helped. I actually burst into tears at the first appt when he said he won\'t be able to cure me but he\'ll try everything he can to make me as comfortable as possible. He thought I was upset about the no cure part but I was crying with relief because he was the first who\'d actually listened to me and said he\'ll do whatever he can to help..its really sad, infuriating and just plain wrong that cp patients have to go thru this but if we don\'t stand up for ourselves we\'d never get help..

I don\'t want this to turn into a novel so I\'ll stop for now lol..I\'ve got a few tips or ideas that might help with your pup but I need gallons of coffee and a shower first lol I hope getting things out in your journal helped calm your mind a little bit. Take care.
