well, its 3:30 on Friday - all is quiet here at the hospital.  I am in a non-patient area in the nursing education department.  My job as an administrative assistant is to help and support the nursing education department.  I deal with a lot of things - such as gathering info for nursing orientation classes, take registrations for Advance life support classes, nursing school internships (and paperwork for non-nursing programs- they need to set their own internship up and I help with their paperwork process).  Just alot of things going on.  Doctors, nurses, PT, PA - everyone!  Whew! I am the only admin here in the office (my boss is down the hall but she rarely bothers me, usually to say hello).  The girl that bothered me last week! We made up the next day.  It won't be the only time she drives me crazy!!! She can be something.  She's only been with us since November and sometimes she drives me crazy.  Most of the time, we laugh and joke around.  The other girl is still on vacation with her sister in Florida and won't be back until Monday (I won't see her until the 17th).  Since they work in the front office, I come up here when they are not in (like now).  The phone is pretty quiet right now, I have my line forwarded and no ones calling.  I sometimes have to pick up the phone to see if its working...LOL!!  At least this job is better than when I worked for the homecare agency.  That job was kinda insane.  100+calls a day, patients crying because the nurse said they would be coming an hour ago and wanted to know why she/he isn't here.  Jeesh.
2 days and counting until Denver.  I am excited about it.  I will be able to add to my social gathering update goals with all the things I have been doing over there.  Its gonna take me 6 hours to get there on Sunday.  Mostly its time change.   Its 3:30 now but they are 2 hours behind so its 4:30.  Kinda weird how its laid out.  The baltimore to Denver leg will be the longest I've been on a plane (except when I went to Florida and flew Buffalo to Atlanta then to Ft Myers).
Tonight should be kinda quiet.  Its suppose to rain.  I need to get some laundry done before I pack.  I know Denver is a "jeans/t shirt" state so I won't have to worry about bringing anything dressy.   I will probably be in my sneakers all week.  Not sure how the weather will be but  I plan on bringing a few pairs of shorts - just incase.  My good friend Debbie, who is taking me to the airport and lives around the corner from me may stop by.   That will be nice.  I don't count that toward social gatherings because its only one on one and thats not my problem.
Thats it for today.  I try and stop in my journal once more before Sunday.
TGIF!!
