I can't believe how long it's been since I've been on here.  So, so much has happened I don't even know where to begin.  I am in such a better place both headwise and emotionally  -- a place I never thought I'd get to.
Townhouse renovations are flying along -- seem to be right on target for my June 15th closing date.  It's been amazing to be able to pick everything out just the way I want it.  Everything will be MY choice and it will truly be MY place.  Picked out flooring, carpeting, paint colors. island design, fixtures, etc.  A month away.
I think I finally figured out the purpose of Magic Man in my life.  I am now seeing his best friend.  He is the MOST amazing man.  Brilliant, funny, interested in EVERYTHING and willing to actually DO things.  He's respectful, kind, thoughtful, makes me laugh, makes me feel special and we have fun together.  He cooks, he knows all about wine, is teaching me to play pool (I'm getting pretty good), loves my dogs and is kind to them, can take a car apart and put it back together and just about anything else he sets his mind to, AND, most importantly, likes me for me and understands my position and is ok with it. Had met him a few months ago through Magic Man and we hit it off right away.  He finally contacted me about a month ago and said that he didn't see that there was anything going on between Rick and I and wondered if I would see him.  I was very leery but took a chance.  It's funny, but on the night that I met him I told my friends that I wished I would have met him first.  We're going to a Wine and Food Tasting next week.  We haven't progress beyond a kiss goodnight even though he's slept over -- on the futon in my basement, lol.
I plan to have a "wild" summer -- partying like a rock star.  Come fall I will grow up a bit again but this is my time and I'm going to do it all.  I've been out at a bar until closing, stayed up all night with friends, gotten an impromptu pole dance lesson and been carried out of a party over a shoulder like a sack of potatoes.  All harmless, not drunken fun, and I'm enjoying every minute of it and looking forward to lots more.
My move on June 15th, flying out to LA to drive back cross country with my best friend from high school who's going to be staying with me for a few month, renting a cottage at the lake with her and another friend from Florida for 2 weeks as soon as we get back.
To all my wonderful, amazing friends on DS -- thank you so much for supporting me through those dark, dark days.  I truly couldn't have made it without you.  I love you all and pray for you all the time.
