Venetia spent the next 4 years working for various Canberra jewellery companies and completing a Diploma in Gemmology with the Gemmological Association of Australia to become a qualified gemmologist. In 2012, Venetia took a leap of faith and committed to Venetia Major - Bespoke Jewellery full time and has never looked back.
Our GIA-Gemologist Hamish Whiting is currently based in the Antwerp Diamond Bourse, centre of old world diamonds. We have access to some of the rarest and most beautiful antique diamonds which we source slowly and sustainably over time. We also do this for clients who want to combine their old heirloom pieces into a new, wearable item that can be passed down to their children.
I picked a 3ct radiant cut to be the centre diamond and all my previous diamonds were used for the side of the engagement ring and my wedding bands. My previous centre diamond was used in a necklace with my children’s names engraved around the outside.
