Marquis de Sade

A suspected memory which has emerged in my current psychosis is of the Army shrink whose name, rank and serial number remain lost in the proverbial alphabet soup my damaged memory has made of my therapy pros. It was easy to verify that my organized therapy began in 1974, at the U.S. Army infirmary in Heidelberg, Germany. Bottom tier VA bureaucrats can confirm that much. More detail than that requires a muckety muck sign-off. Political manuevering remains my weakest talent. I still bite with greater eloquence than I speak. Avoiding real world teeth is a necessary part of Officer Candidate School. OCS. I am guilty of A-Political behavior in that equation. My construction crews did nickname me, "The Bitch of No Return," after all. Even my non-supporters loved watching what I could do to a muckety muck.

For the sake of sorting, I have dubbed the Army shrink of this suspected memory, "Hawkeye" and allowed Donald Southerland's portrayal of Hawkeye to clarify the memory. My emerging memories are always ghostly in their early emergence and vulnerable to the gentlest of suggestion. For this particular psycho-ramble, I will allow Donald Southerland's possession of the Army Shrink. I seem to remember him being a great fan of the movie, most especialy Hawkeye. We were overseas in a time before internet streaming. The TV series was not yet available to us. We couldn't wait to ". . . get back to the land of round door knobs and see it."

After Hawkeye compared my hypergraphia to Marquis de Sade, I attempted to read the honored philosopher. Couldn't do it. Still can't. I keep wanting to call him, "Daddy Dearest." The first film portrayl of Marquis de Sade I was able to sit through was Geoffry Rush's portayl in "Quills (2000)." Thank you cosmic forces for the technopower of video streaming. It was a viewing of many pauses. I still havenae found the courage to play it again.

The wonder of this psycho-wander is two-fold.

1) Should I be grateful to "Hawkeye" for saving me from that?

2) Have I spotted a cultural thread for the Child Sex Trafficking legacy?

Sorting. . .
