March 8, 2010 - Primary Dr appt good news!!

Good afternoon everyone,
Just want to make this real quick because I have a lot to do here.  Seems like when the new manager was hired she loves to give me little things to do.  Not that Rosanna wasn't good.  More than happy to remain busy. The bad thing is it keeps me away from DS.  The last thing I like to do when I get home is get on the internet.  Of course, my cat messed up my cords again and I am off line.  Gotta get those tied up so he can't mess with them again.  Oh well.
the trundle bed should be coming over to my place sometime next month so It will be taken care of then.  It will be a tight fit in the 2nd bedroom but in the long run it will be good for my next visitor/family visitor.
I went to my primary dr appt - She was extremely pleased with all the test results.  PETT scan was within normal limits as far as the benign spine cyst and head cyst.  I have what you call sebacious cysts on my face and feet and wonder if this is the same root cause going on internally. Oh! I still have PKD - no question about that.  My level is 39%.  she seemed to think it might be a dehydration issue.  I'll have to ask Dr Ryan when I see him in May.  May.....I actually have a break.  Wow!!  Anyways, on to the best news - my cholesterol went down from 282 to 187!  I can't believe it.  when she told me I asked her to repeat it.  We talked about the Vit D level, its now 25.  It was 19.  She said to finish the prescription bottle (50,000 iu) then go back to the overcounter, 2000 iu.  thats a relief. I have about 7 prescription vit d pills left (thats 7 weeks/ 1 pill a week (fridays)).   The Cysto was within normal limits or stable.  I told her how horrible this test is and she said "no follow up".  whew!  Im glad she agreed with me.  I personally think if someone is getting a Cystoscopy they should be knocked out.  Horrible test.  Will see what Dr Ryan says about this.  He might just order another one if I have visable blood in my urine.  God! I hope not.  Its microscopic - thats fine with me.
Lost 2 lbs - 189.  Getting there.  Gotta keep up the good habits by eating fruits and veggies.  Salads for dinner (with chicken).  Not eating fast food.  Good thing I don't live near a wendy's.  Burger King and McDonalds, Blah!   I think when I went for my coding certification class I ate burger king so much that I am now officially sick of it.  yuck!.  I am trying hard to eat at home.  Make 2 meals a week with leftovers a 2-3 nights a week.
the "biggest loser" teams have been formed.   clinical Education group is me (admin assist), todd (nurse educator), Mary (nurse educator) and Lori (nurse recruiter).  Administration/HR is Annette, Kate (admin), Nancy (project coord) and Diane (HR).  Should be an interesting contest with us 8.   Registration starts on Monday!
I registered for the 5K training program last night at their meeting.  Starts on 3/24.  should be very interesting.  I placed myself in the walk/run group.  With all the treadmill and eliptical work, I should be in the running group in no time.  will see how hard I work.  You guys will come along for the ride on both events.
This is going to be a very exciting few months.  the best part is that I will be journaling at record speed keeping you guys updated.  all my tests are negative, its time to take care of me!  Mind and Body.
