Marathon!
I hope inspiring anyways. It was really really really cold at the start, like about 33 degrees! I couldn't feel my toes or my lips for the first couple of hours. lol. I started out with the 5:30 pacer. He was pretty cool, Mike from New Jersey. I stayed pretty much with them for the first half, then I felt like they were moving kind of slow, so I just kind of went at my own pace. I never got too far ahead of them. There were snacks passed out along the way, cliff shots (kind of like goo) and candy, loved the Buckeyes at mile 25! Woohoo! I felt really strong until about mile 24, but at that point I knew I was almost home. Ended up almost 6 minutes ahead of my pacer and 5 minutes ahead of last years time. Right now the only thing really hurting is my feet, ouch! So part of me is wishing I had run a little harder, but the other part of me says I did the best I could on this day. I think a 5 minute improvement is pretty good, but don't really know for sure. Anyway, tomorrow I will worry about getting a job, selling my book. Today I am just relaxing and basking. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........
