MAP/chart of next solar eclipse, year and when, here is 2017, a TIME would be nice
The next total solar eclipse visible in the mainland United States will come on August 21, 2017. The next total eclipse after that for U.S. observers will be on April 8, 2024.

During a total solar eclipse – whenever the new moon swings directly in front of the sun and completely covers it – the sky turns suddenly from day into night, and stars and planets pop into view. What’s more, a total solar eclipse shows you the sun’s normally invisible corona. It’s a breathtaking sight!
In addition to total eclipses, there are other sorts of eclipses as well, and some of them might be visible from your location. A hybrid eclipse occurs when the magnitude of an eclipse changes during the event from less to greater than one, so the eclipse appears to be total at some locations on Earth and annular at other locations.

The moon passes more or less between the Earth and sun every month. This is the new moon phase. More often than not, no eclipse happens at new moon, because the new moon usually sweeps to the north or to the south of the sun. There are several lunar and solar eclipses each year, however.

today is wednesday, its 7:21 p.m., so i take it that its now after 7 it becomes the next day on ds, it used to be after 8 p.m. it became the next day. hmmmmm. where do they monitor this site, my guess is somewhere in europe or india, where it actually IS the next day right now?
cloud coverage can block it. would have liked to have seen the ring of fire for real. someone said they could see it in fort myers, florida?
i\'m in terrible spirits today for no apparent reason. i hope its just from the added med. even my stomach is bothering me. it could also be the rainy weather. why rain in november? wth? i\'m moody and grumpy. i need to do adoptions and have a couple of animals that need help. everything is bugging me today. wth?
We have had some rain too yesterday. Rain makes me grumpy as well. I know a lot of people love the rain, but I am not one of them. I could never live in Seattle or London due to the constant rain!!!

I like walking in warm rain. I hate cold rain. But here in Miami it\'s normally warm rain so I don\'t have a problem with it.
