Managing thoughts and self-talk

A great deal has happened since October.  My meds stopped working and my mood tanked in November 2012.  Amazing if you look at October's post and realize I seriously tanked 1 month later.
Fortunately, I knew what to do, my husband was supportive and I got the help I needed.  I've recuperated  very quickly and my Pdoc & I are trying a different med at various doses to see if it will work.  So now I'm on 4 psych meds: Lithium, Equetro (its really tegretol XR), Prozac and Olanzapine (Zyprexa).  The weight gain has begun.  I don't know what to do with all these meds.  I have meds from my primary physician as well: Vit. D, albuterol, famotadine (pepcid), an fluticasone.
I know when we get the mix right it will be worth it.  Right now things are ok and I'm managing my thought life to keep me on the brighter side.  It's amazing how much power is in our minds!  Managing my self-talk  has great power too.  Those 2 things truly help me keep my mood up.  And when the swing does come as a flood heading downhill, managing my thoughts and self talk help me to not drown in it.
I am thankful for family and friends who accept me for who I am.
