Managing Anger
I think there is good anger and bad ange. Bad anger is negativity and is destructive, to career and relationships. Good anger is anger that is channeled into creating something positive. I'm usually good at having a positive outlet for my anger (work). But, in this bone-dry economy, it's been all too easy to sink into the well of negativity. And I have to stay above that. I feel like I'm looking for a new cause, to pursue passionately, but life is not going the way I want it to. When it comes to making money, I want to channel my anger into making money, of course, but it's not enough just to meet the numbers and pay bills. I want to be WAY, WAY ahead of the bills! And I have to feel passionate about what I'm DOING with my life to GENERATE the numbers, feel like I'm doing good for somebody else in this crazy world, not just making money for others, selling some product, but selling some product that actually has a benefit, that contributes to someone's health or well-being, that makes the world a better place, or at least improves one person's life. Neither is the case right now. I'm lacking a sense of purpose, and jobs, the few jobs that there are, don't pay shit.
God, please allow this bloody recession to pass. I want to get back to work! And I want to diversify myself into Miami film & TV production, commercials, music videos, shot on 35mm and high-def stuff. I love that process. It requires sweat and mental acuity. It is a bunch of people trying to work together to accomplish something that is really rather complex. When the team functions well together, things go so smoothly. I enjoy being part of a team. One on one, I'm OK, give and take of conversation, trying to instill positive vibes. But in a group, I really excel. I love that group energy.
