man found dead in apartment one month after//doggy dementia, does it exist?//lunch with j//saw rn, b

i think the smaller dog has doggy dementia.  she went over by the main road and got picked up again.  grrrr.  that is two times!  wth?  this time the police helped find her using a lost dog site and gave me the number of the person that picked her up.  the foreign worker from the place that had the dog last time was a total douche bag this time because her boss wasn't there and didn't follow their protocol at all so i'm turning her in to the owner.  whyyyy do places that are supposed to be helping hire nasty people.  no compassion at all.  i don't get why the dog is doing it though.  there is tons of space in the opposite direction, why head toward a busy road during the day, so i have to put up a baby gate again, or not let it hang out on the deck at all.  too bad because she used to be well-behaved with that.  it took all afternoon to get her back and the day was ruined.  grrrr.

went to lunch with j at that mom and pop place.  ran errands at the bank, post office and picking up animal supplies.  saw rn for about an hour and went to sleep for the rest of the day exhausted.  mostly tired because looking for and locating the dog again took five hours and wiped me out.  my blood pressure must have been through the roof.  also finally got the number for another painter, who sounds reasonable on the phone but was a no sho, what else is new with handy people.  he paints for the local hospital over here.

the guy up the street who we thought was "in trouble" with the police (4 police cars the other day) was found DEAD inside his apartment.  he hadn't paid rent on january 1 and hadn't picked up notices left on his door and then the apartment started to smell and they called the police while the landlord went into the apartment.  the police impounded his car and the maintenance people emptied out the apartment immediately and started cleaning it out.  wth?  don't you call family first?  he is the second person to die in that same apartment in the passed six years.  creepy.

have a feeling so much of this work,  unless i get lucky, is going to be one of those, if you want something done, do it yourself, kind of thing.  hope i'm strong enough to do it.  i talked to byn about the stair that needs to be done and he quotes a price that makes no sense.  guess he is back to drinking again.  those two you can feel the tension as soon as you walk in there.  he's offered work, but he never does it.  a also still owes money, but is offered work that takes effort and never does it as well.  unreal with people.

What happened to your neighbor is crazy! I would hate to die alone. Poor man. I hope the dog doesn\'t go to the street again.. I would hate for him to get run over. *hugs*

so, the dead man\'s car was returned. turns out the LANDLORD TOOK the car and then discovered its ILLEGAL to do that. and its the LANDLORD who was inside the apartment removing things as soon as night hit. w says another woman died at another apartment complex they own -- also in January and the landlord went inside again and stole the woman\'s jewelry. the woman\'s daughter showed up and is looking for her mother\'s rings etc and NOTHING is there. then the landlord has the nerve to tell her they keep alllll security when a person dies to paint and re-do the apartment. wth? AND the woman\'s last month rent (first last and security) they \"might\" apply to her final month but aren\'t sure, since the lease is broken. don\'t all leases have something about death being a REASON a lease is legally broken.

i would think by now, nothing would surprise me because you hear so many hideous things with people, but you sit there and listen and it makes you want to vomit, the way people act - especially if they are stealing from the deceased tenants after they die. wth?

Confusion, disorientation, dogzheimers. Call it what you will, but canine dementia (known clinically as canine cognitive dysfunction) can be a serious problem. Just like humans, dogs can suffer from many of the same symptoms:
