Mama Mia

Awhile ago, I called my friend Lorraine if she was interested in going to see the new sequel.  She said she was going to call me because she and Lisa went to see it.  She said "we sat in the front row and laughed and laughed".  She wanted to go with me.  Her mom had been asking to go but she said she wanted to go with me.

We finally got to go yesterday afternoon.  This is where it gets interesting.  We are both sure that Lisa came with us.  When we went to buy tickets, we were told that all the back rows were full - we were at the theatre with comfy seats.  We had the choice of the first or second row.  We thought about the first row but figured Lisa would be okay in the second row.  So we sat with our feet up and laughed and cried.  The ending was particularly touching.  We were both sobbing.  Occasionally Lorraine would lean over and say "She's here".

Lorraine and I have gone to funny and silly movies for years.  It began when Lisa was here.  Our first one was "Hey Dude Where's my Car". I think it won the worst movie of the year.  But we still talk and laugh about it!

I am so thankful for Lorraine.  She is a friend who loves to reminisce about Lisa.  She is okay when I shed tears.

It hurts like hell that we could not hear Lisa's laugh.

Lisa:  I know you were there but I so want to hear you laugh again.  I miss you always and love you forevver.  Mummy

Hi Marlene, I'm so glad you have Lorraine! I have one friend, who although she has not had a child pass away, "gets it." It's a wonderful thing to be able to take the mask off once in a while.

I'm sure Lisa was with you and I'm sure she enjoyed hearing you laugh but I know how much you'd love to hear her laughter again too.

Gentle hugs and love to you and dearest Lisa, Linda ♡

In deepest gratitude for friends such as Lorranie and I must admit I adore that name as it's my late mom's, who was named after her aunt and she spelled it LoRaine. How wonderful that you can just BE however you need to BE and that Lorraine wants Lisa to be a part of these adventures.

Missing our children and their deep hearted and belly laughter indeed. I hope our hearts will never allow us to forget these aspects of our BEloved's that make them who they are.

I was just thinking of you, Marlene, and here is a journal from you. I love how that happens. :)

Loving (((hugs))) of care always to Lisa's mummy from Douglas and me.

So glad you got to share the movie with Lorraine and Lisa. I took my granddaughter and her sister to see it while I was visiting them. Thought maybe I was the only one crying at the end. It's special to share times with people who "get IT."
