making tentative steps back
as someone who works from home it has been both good and bad. The good it is easy to shut down and break down without co-workers being around. The bad it is real easy to isolate yourself and stop living. For the last two weeks I have been attending meetings and conferences which has me out of the house and around people. It has been a very emotional time but I am glad I attended, even though most of the time I felt like leaving and going home.

I love being at home,,I wish I could do more work at home...((hugs))
I understand the pros and cons of being home. If I am home too much I can get in to a black hole. I need activity around me - it gets my mind off things temporarily. For a very long time though, I was totally drained by the time I got home.
If you are home and want company, we are here.

It\'s hard to get into what use to be normal life after we have lost our son or daughter. I don\'t know how Mom\'s that have to go out to work shortly after the loss do it. I\'m fortunate in that I\'m retired and can take creating the new normal as slow as I need to. I do understand though that sometimes we need to have people around to distract us. Love to you and your family, especially Jon. Terry
It feels like you just took one step forward without stepping back. Being around people sounds like a mile stone. I am a people person getting out into the world I had to cope. Relearning a skill of seeming normal when I really was not. I would bury myself into my work and get lost in it.

Everything you are feeling is as it needs to be for now. Being in one place and so wishing you were in another... I get it and have been there so many times too. Just take this day one moment at a time as you are and be so gentle with yourself. Of all the times to self nurture this is it. The kind moms who are a few steps further along on this path helped me to embrace this. \"The walking wounded\" is what one of them called this path we are on and it helped me to truly tap into what we are being asked to do now... Live without our beloved children and that is a full time job with no overtime pay. It\'s 24/7 and then some! Deepest of sighs...
Thinking of YOU and sending an understanding (((hug)))).
