Making Progress

I haven't updated you on my progress lately.  I learned something tonight in counseling that is now my homework.  I am learning to balance the memories and the stress.  When the stress is high, I am to work on the memories.  However, when the stress is low, I am to work on taking care of myself.  I am to set aside time each night (when I am most alert) before going to work at least 2-3 or more in advance to work on these memories, then when I am off work I am to de-stress.  This is what I learned, and it helped me a lot.She also encouraged me to continue to grieve the death of my grandma, and that it is normal on how I do it, which is every 2-3 days I cry, etc.I have a passion for Leadership.  Ever since my supervisor placed me in a leadership role at work, and before that I have noticed that is a strength for me.  I could have easily done leadership through a Bible College, and could have gotten in with no problems at all.  The school I am interested in and have started the application process, it is Fort Hays State University.  I would concentrate in Organizational Leadership with an interest of study in Human Resource Management.  The link is http://www.fhsu.edu/mls/conc/oleadership.shtml in case you are interested.  The program is affordable, and I do not see any problems into getting into it.  It is very affordable, and I won't have to take out any loans.  I can get more into upper management into the agency I am with, and it fits me perfect.  I plan on starting this fall by taking 3 classes, and then going from there.  Have a great day!!!

Hey

Sounds like you have a great counselor. I have heard of setting aside time each day to work on stuff and saving all of the negative emotions for that time (when possible) .

It looks like a great program. Im glad that things are starting to look up for you by finding this program.

Your in my prayers!
