Making it real...
My first entry and don't really know what to say.... Joining my first Hep C support group makes it real, I guess. I know I need this extra support, and can't live like my life hasn't changed drastically in the last couple of months with news of my diagnosis. Because it has. I'm pissed that I have this, and pissed I have to fight for my life and my health. I am TIRED. But, I will fight this. The alternative sucks.

OMG. I barely slept at all last night. Today is the day my meds are to be delivered. I have to be here to sign for them, so I\'ve cleared my calendar for the morning (not that I could concentrate on anything anyway...). So I am on pins and needles right now. Even had to stop a nose bleed, from the anxiety I guess.
I posted back in January that seeking support for this disease makes it real. Moving forward, getting meds approved, and actually getting them and kicking this monster\'s ass is what makes it real!
I am excited, scared, hopeful and determined all rolled up into one. I am TIRED of hurting, TIRED of feeling exhausted all the time, and I want to LIVE.
I want life to be normal again.
Don\'t worry Beachy. You\'ve got the anxiety part out of the way. Now, it\'s time for the relaxation part. The meds will work; that\'s what you need to keep in the forefront of your mind. Go tell \'em who\'s boss today!!!!
Thanks!! The meds are HERE. They just came. It still boggles my mind that I look on the pharmacy statement of Sovaldi and it says - Co-pay: $5.00, and You Saved: $28,498. For 28 days!! My car didn\'t even cost half of that, and I still owe $2,500. It\'s completely nuts. :-/
Now to call my doc and let him know they are here... whew.
Well, you can think of it as one heck of an expensive \"oil change\" ;)
Right?! LOL
