Majorly Stressed Out

So despite having dyslexia and chronic illness, I managed to complete my teaching qualification. When I graduated I thought that would be an end to all the stresses and struggles. I would get a job as a teacher work hard but enjoy it.
Two and a half years on and 187 applications later I am still no closer to actually getting a job as a teacher. Whats worse is if I don't get a job as a teacher with in the next year I will have to re-train! I have no idea what to do. Maybe if I haven't got a job now its because I am not a good enough teacher and I should just give it up and go for a different career.
I have no idea what to do and I can't sleep thinking about it all.

Kate, you can\'t consider that you are not a good teacher...you haven\'t had a go at doing it yet!! Is the job problem because of the economy? I know over here, no one can get a job. They are closing down schools and hospitals because we can\'t afford to staff them. It\'s a living nightmare whatching our unemployment rise and rise. Absolutely frightening. Many of my friends have no jobs!!

I think you chose a wonderful career. AND despite your drawbacks you finished your education. Nothing happens by accident. Wait a while longer....it seems the jobs just aren\'t available. Even if you get started with substituting.....just get your foot in the door, the full time job will eventually come.

Don\'t be discouraged, Kate. You have done so well. It\'s the waiting game. Getting a job is way up there on the stress scale. And for good reason. We\'re trying to sell our house and no one will buy it because there is no money and banks are not lending.....it\'s so discouraging.

Let\'s decide that we musn\'t get depressed, just keep pressing on. The right job is out there for you...and somebody\'s gonna want my house!!!
