Major upset in life!!!
I don't even know how to write about what happened to me last week but I wanted to let a few friends know. Last Thursday I lost sight in one of my eyes. My sister told me to go to the ER immediately which I did, they transfered me to another hospital where I saw an opthamologist and a neurologist. The opthamologist asked me if MS runs in my family (it doesn't) I guess I have something called optic neuritis usual cause is MS. I have been through a whole battery of tests from mri catscans eeg & a lumbar puncture nothing is showing up so far. Still waiting on one result for MS. hopefully will know more tomorrow. Treating me with high doses of steroids which is supposed to help with the inflammation of the optic nerve. They originally told me three days and am now on day 7 still in hosp and mighty frustrated my eye is not getting better I am blind in one eye and I can't deal well with it at all the steroids make me crazy weepy and I just want to go home. I am trying to be strong I know I will get through this. Miss you all!!!

Oh Rinkpa- how incredibly scarey- I\'m so sorry. I\'m glad youre getting tested from all sides- it sounds like youre in good care. I\'m sure its hard to keep positive under the circumstances- but do try. I\'m sure it will work out but I\'m gonna say some prayers for you tonight. Keep us posted- again- I\'m so sorry you are going thru this.
I am so sorry Rinkpa! You will be in my thoughts and prayers as I hope you get an answer. We can only hope and pray it is temporary but it sounds like your doctor is doing everything possible to find out. Hang in there and try to keep up that Rinkpa positive attitude! Please keep us posted...

I will have you in my thoughts...positive ones. Hang tough, and get through the steroids, I know they can do wicked things but that too will pass....you have been through a lot of stress and I\'m hoping you can catch a break so you can breath...keep your chin up you have a lot of friends sending positive thoughts your way....
