MAJOR EPISODE!
Why did I think I was impervious to having an MS episode? I guess because I was confusing episode with relapse. Since I have PPMS, and not RRMS I guess I thought at least I wouldn't have to deal with that.
So, last night at 9:30 I started 'feeling weird', kind of light-headed and disconnected to everyone/everything. I moved from the dining room where I couldn't really follow the conversation, to the living room, where I couldn't really follow the plot on the TV. As it got worse, I realized that it probably WASN'T the ½ Long Trail ale I had drank. Then my muscles in it seemed like my WHOLE BODY got super tense. I asked both my 13 year old, and my husband to give me massages in my arms and legs. I took my Baclophen a bit early, and another spray of my Sativex (two of my 3 muscle relaxants) and tried to do yoga breathing to try to relax my body. That hour and a half lasted forever! I managed to sleep there on the sofa 'til morning and I seem to be more or less 'normal' today, and the consensus is that I don't do anything for a couple of days. Being on vacation/unemployed at the moment makes it possible logistically, but more difficult because I have a hard time not keeping busy.
My mom had called a helpline, and the nurse seemed to think it could be a one time reaction to the stress of my transatlantic flight etc, but it was over a week ago . . .
I was so scared. . . thought I could stay that way for good!

I sure don\'t blame you for being scared. My symptoms were bordering on RRMS and PPMS for a while. THey\'re still not completely sure, never are. Anyway, it sounds like you need to start taking magnesium citrate or magnesium citrate/malate. I haven\'t taken baclofen since I started the magnesium years ago. Don\'t need the stuff.
Magnesium is the only thing that calms my spasms, actually keeps them from happening in the first place. THere is much information about magnesium out there. The most reknown doctor who provides tons of information about it is Russell Blaylock, a neurosurgeon who pioneered some major forms of brain surgery. Also, Dr. Carolyn Dean, Dr. Mark Hyman, and the list goes on.
Try the magnesium... You won\'t be sorry you did.
Hi Lorrie! Thanks for responding! Since I am at my mother\'s, who has a ton of magnesium, I had decided to try it out starting in a day or two. My COQ10 has run out, and is really expensive here, so I thought I\'d do the testing with magnesium now. What was your suggestion for starting off again?
