made of star stuff

I was having a pretty good discussion the other day with a girl about the universe and our connections to it, and thought I'd put something up about it here, since it really made me smile.
We are the universe, we dont just live in it. Let me explain...
We're all part of what was created here. We are born out of the Earth and universe, not into it, as if we are from somewhere else. The universe doesn't stop at the Earth's atmosphere, or even at our bodies. We are part of it. The atoms in our bodies, we are made from the stars. Which makes us Star Stuff.
We are not just small unimportant humans on a small unimportant planet, in a big universe. We are totally connected to it and a part of it sooo we are the universe, aware of itself at a point we call "here and now". We're all connected, in a very significant way.
I think so many people feel alone and disconnected, but they arent really. They just feel as if they are. I know we've all been there.
 Like if you go to the beach, you know what waves are, like the surf breaking right? And it's cool to talk about waves cause we know what we mean. But there isnt really any actual thing that is a wave cause you cant take a thing like a wave out of or away from the ocean. It is part of and connected to the entire ocean, and universe for that matter.
So something we call a wave is something that the ocean and the universe is doing, at a point we call here and now, where we are observing it. And people are connected in the same way; we are something the universe is doing and are aware of it. We ARE aware.
