Madder than Fire!
Spoke to my son's guidance counselor yesterday before I left work (mainly to set things up for testing et al). Turns out that He did not write 1 thing on his history mid-term. NOT ONE THING!!! Teacher asked why, son said he didn't study (he told me that he did study--in fact, he had the entire weekend to study for this one!). What's more is that he is doing just as bad or worse this quarter, in spite of having a study hall (which had been his own idea) to get some of the work done. When I left work, I was livid!! I got home, stomped upstairs, and asked for the note from the history teacher (which he was supposed to have given me the day before). I asked him what made him think that mid-terms were optional; he said he didn't think so. I asked why he didn't do it then, and he went into the whole "I didn't study" business. (Sidenote: even if he didn't study, he could have answered something.) I told him: no more Wii for the rest of the school year ("fine" he mutters) and that he was not going to watch the Super Bowl. I also said that he's always saying that I should respect him, but I can't respect people who don't take responsibility for themselves. WHAT THE HECK IS HIS PROBLEM?????
