Mad, Mad, Mad
Well, yesterday & Tuesday I was in a mood again & I've written it off to hormones. I told myself: "I've gotta CALM DOWN!!" So I resolved to have a better attitude.
Last night, we all went out for dinner, since it was just too darn hot to cook. We had a nice time & decent food. I slept pretty well, since it had cooled down by evening.
Yesterday, our phone landline went dead (probably during the electrical storm). So this morning, H's cell phone rang twice. He didn't recognize the number, so he didn't pick it up. However, he doesn't have voice mail. So then my phone rang, but I didn't pick it up in time, but they left a voice mail. Since this was all right before I was to leave for the bus, I told H that I'd call him & let him know what it was all about.
So I listened to the voice mail--it was our auto insurance calling about "his parking lot accident". I knew nothing about this! I tried calling him a million times (ok, 3-5 times, but still) & he didn't pick up. So I emailed & FB'd him that it was the insurance company trying to call.
Finally, after I got on the bus, he calls me back. He told me that he called the insurance company. I asked him why he didn't tell me about this. "It slipped my mind," he said. (An accident slipped your mind??) "But don't worry--our car is OK." (duh, if it wasn't I would have seen that!) So I asked the obvious: "Well, what about whatever it was that you hit? What was it that you hit?" He said that he was backing out slowly out of a parking spot & grazed some woman's car & there was some damage.
That was pretty much the whole conversation at that point--I wasn't about to start yelling at him while I was on the bus. But boy, was I MAD! Not so much about the accident (though I wouldn't have been pleased with it of course; I feel that he is more careless than I am when driving), but about the fact that he NEVER TOLD ME about it. I mean, what was he going to do--hide it until I saw our premium increase? Then what? (And who is paying for the premium increase? Yeah, me!)
I'm not "flaming mad" as I was before, but I still am angry about this, and words will be spoken tonight. I don't know what lame excuse he's going to give (and I bet $1million that he will give one), but I don't care. This needs to be dealt with.
