lunch out with j//shopping with a//dinner at k's//clinic for animals//contractors at new house
just wrote a journal and ds ate the journal even with me COPYING it so i could just put it back up. wth is that? seriously. don't even remember my sarcastic remarks about the $2 million jewelled BRAS.
have to remain calm. no-anger is part of the nativity fast.
let's see what i do remember. went out to lunch two days in a row with j. only wendy's and dq. dq is a rip off. though i love their burgers. you are allowed to go off the fast two days per week. we were supposed to go to the museam but i ran out of energy. i seem to only be able to do extra things, every other day and then i run out of mojo.
went to the hope store by accident, found a few deals. went to the discount place by rn's and to a garage sale by rn's and found large garden tools for the new house and corning ware with snap tops for k. went to the auction and found a couple of things and to the home store which had MANY things we need for the new house if its the right size. i explained to the guy working on the house he needs to measure to go there on his own right away because they empty out quick. so we'll see.
went to the city shops with a, because my purse got messed up from the animals. found two other purses one is too heavy i think, because of my neck injuries. so we'll see. was using one of my other ones and the strap broke. not a good week for purses.
went to the clinic for the animals. it was SWAMPED there. had brunch at k's. scrambled eggs with cheese. yum! and later on dinner soup and salad, ham, baked potato and gin and tonics and coffee. i eat light sour cream over there and it tastes good. i eat light sour cream at home and i don't like it. what is that? it tastes too "sweet" at home? brought the dogs with me because the contractors were at the new house working. they did very well. they didn't try to jump the fence even though the book said they would. so far the dogs like to relax most of the time, so perfect. they also get along GREAT with cats. they sleep in the same room together. so cute!
watched "the red tent" at k's. neither of us knew this bible story. its at the end of genesis. i googled it because its so odd that we wouldn't know it. we both have ministry in our families. the woman who plays "dinah" is fabulous and does a great hate-drama scene in there. not easy to do. dinah is the only daughter of jacob, who is married to four sisters and has children with all of them. wth. polygamy was legal and "normal" back then (still is in many areas in northern africa and arabia, which is where all of this is taking place) in the bible the story is called the seduction of dinah. two of her brothers are hideous and portrayed as adults when they commit crime, in the bible it says they are fourteen. unreal so evil. they are the same two brothers that have the favorite brother kidnapped and sold into slavery. the parents only find his coat. its THAT joseph, the one with the colorful coat. there was a hit play about it many years ago.
went to rn's and hung out a little while. she just finished reading, a boy called it and wants the sequel. that book is amazing. its the one i read while standing up in target. i couldn't put it down. byn is reading it now. amazing that kid survived because his mother is a total lunatic. his younger brother became the next victim and has a book out now as well. would love to know where local adults and social service are during all this and why the husband who slept with this lunatic who is his wife, nightly, didn't have an accident happen to her during all of this. its completely NUTS. people rather join in and attack the victim than take on a perpetrator. its like with evil people. evil people never kill other evil people, they only kill good people. disgusting.
its 42 degrees outside, its night. i have the heat set at 83. yum!

I have the same problem with pocketbooks because of my neck injuries.I now mostly rely on a wallet or one of those old lady tote bags from the dollar store.
I\'ve never heard of a Nativity fast but luckily you can eat two days of the week. Do you not eat the other 5? Sure doesn\'t sound that healthy. My husband fasts on Sunday but it\'s not for religious reasons. He read that is healthy to do that once a week. Sometimes it irritates me as coming from someone who has a problem with eating and swallowing I don\'t understand how anyone would intentionally go without food if they didn\'t have to. But that\'s just my feeling why he would do this.
I alway\'s crack up about your thermostat setting. 83....really? Sounds REALLY toasty to me. But good to hear you are enjoying the warmth.
Hugs!
i used to do the same thing as your husband carly, back when i was still skinny, if i went up 3 pounds i would fast that day and back to normal. i used to weigh myself daily back then. should never have stopped weighing in like that, its super healthy. he is right. gets all the poisons out of your system.
nativity fast is a lot like advent. except its scripted for you, you don\'t choose what you give up. you can have all veggies and fruit and shell fish and grain. nothing else. so you are eating, but you are also purifying your body. to be honest, nativity fast is the real christmas. its the main part of the holiday and none of us even acknowledge it anyway. people celebrate capitalism and buying instead. not good. i was bad at the food part, but tried to do the spiritual part which is avoiding things that anger you and don\'t get angry. i have the fast on here on journal December 2, 2014.
