" ... popped in to camp last year and all the young guys (my campers), had white hair. WTF, Old guys... "
yeah, and at the time we are all counsellors, our "campers" are generally only five to ten years younger than us - sometimes even less than that.  our "campers" are actually our "peers" when we are over 40.

boy is that relateable.  i have been going through that for about five years now, when the last of the people i know either went grey, totally white, or lost allll their hair.  so first the death watch begins at around age 41, people start dropping like flies and getting cancer and its like WHAT is going on?!   and then the can't deny it anymore, physical changes - 45 is not 20 and will never BE 20 so stop making believe it is.

i just started getting the, sweats for no reason, nothing much, just little bits of it.  also, rn is generally rude for no reason, though she insists she is through with menopause.  could have fooled me.  lol.   could also be that that is what she is.  i've never figured her out at all.  one of those people who blows hot and cold and up and down like a roller coaster.  though generally, its her blood pressure up that grouches her out, or other health pains, or lack of funds, or byn showing up and not paying bills, or getting on her case about rehabbing animals when its the main thing she likes to do and its none of his business what she does.  none of his business AT ALL actually, or not seeing the kids that she used to babysit and still wants to see ... but becoming a snapper turtle or a back stabber, isn't going to help any of that anyway.   though no one is a bigger back stabber than valL from down south.  amazing i ever met anyone like that at all, like something you'd see on tv, but not in real life.  glad i'm not a psychologist.  or the stuff with kevinO and bogen, i always forget that completely as i barely know either one until it comes up again.  always a shock because everything connected to it is sooooo hideous on such a huge scale and still walking around, which is even sicker.

mk insists that people who are nasty in old age, ALWAYS were nasty people, they start out that way.   you are just getting to see it more often and its more noticeable when they are older.   could be.  i would think people would mellow more in old age because of forgetfulness.  you know you are mad at some person, but can't remember why, so you are polite to them anyway and its not uncomfortable because you don't remember why you are pissed to begin with.  lol.

as i am sitting here i am watching a baby possum right outside our sliding glass doors.  wow!   wish i knew what to feed it besides cat food.  so cute!

PERFECT weather today, albeit a bit chilly, especially for may.  nice and sunny and breezey by the beach.  its 69 degrees right now.  i have on long sleeve cotton knit.  will have the heat on again in a couple of hours.  very odd weather for may.

kate middleton had a baby girl.  never expected that.  my bet was april 26, male and named arthur.  lol.  instead its may 2 and female, wonder what name?  i hurt my hand.  no idea what i did.  i thought it was from cleaning.  instead its all swollen, so i did something to it.  did a lot of weed pulling today - nice to be outside in the sunshine.  ran into w, who's dog is doing better, he is cooking actual food for both of his dogs, and all the medical troubles went away.  no more dog food because of all the chemicals in the food were making the dog ill (the vet claims there is lighting fluid in the food) and it was making the animal unable to walk kind of thing.  the dog is 14 i think.  rn's cat is equally ill and losing its fur.  i think its around 14 too.  weird when that happens.  also saw dom from around the block when i checked on the grey tiger and talked to ml from around the block who says the dogs didn't bother her at all.  walked down to the park.  yay me.  lol.  and out onto the pier.  i can actually feel my posture improve and muscles feeling good, just from that short walk, less than a mile there and back.   the guys were trying to fish, but its too windy for it and caught nothing.

went over to church to say hi as they are setting up for the festival.  have to volunteer for that one year.  they want $4 for one caramel apple this year.  wow!  i eat those allll the time at home.  the entire bag of golden delicious apples was $3 and the caramel sauce (the caramel sauce is bought in the ice cream section by the hot fudge sauce) was $2, so i can do an entire bag of caramel apples for the price of one caramel apple at one of these places.  scary.

when there is a carnival, sh was saying she would buy a box of chocolate hostess cupcakes that she normally never buys, and a big thing of fresh popped corn from target, to stave off the kids asking for any of that stuff.  very wise.  they also have deep-fried oreos this year.  wth?  they cost $5 for five oreos.  why would anyone eat that?  deep fried and then dipped in confection sugar.  tickets this year are $20 unlimited rides for the day, not bad when you consider disney world is $110 for the day ticket (though as a resident of florida, if you should always have a year long pass (for almost the same price).   the ordinary food is within range of any restaurant, 24 tickets for $20 and then the foods are anywhere from five to 12 tickets.  not bad really, and its cooked right there except for deserts, which are from publix.   love living near a church with a school attached because so many events are within walking distance.  unfortunately that means, many of us who live right there forget any and all protocol and show up in our gardening clothing to things that others are bothering to dress normal for.  whoops.  today, adn's son also showed up like that complete with longer hair and beard (all the young guys have beards right now - the duck dynasty thing) and a lot of the people don't go for that (nor any trend).  so many fight trends, why fight it, kind of makes things interesting, doesn't it?   and new trends start every three years so you will see quite a LOT of them if you live a long life.

Im 51 ,getting old is a painful experience. How ever it beets the alternative. I never under stood how anyone can eat deep fried oreos. No sense in fighting trends they come and go.Your right ever since duck dynasty came along all the young guys have beards. I dont like them but its better than the trend they had in Philly where the guys where their pants all most down to their thighs showing their underwear.

I don\'t even make an effort to un-grouchy myself if I feel that way. I think that is part of old age as well. today I was in pain because its rainy. I went to see the paralegal. who\'s skills are borderline, talks a lot instead of trying to get the client to talk, never a good idea if you are trying to sell anything. plus I was grouchy, which I realized after being there for 20 minutes. if I were ten years younger I\'d be nicer even with pain.
