just saw a poor kitten---a kitten, not even a full grown cat---seated in flea-infested weeds of local walmart hill.
i'm very proud to say i could smack the person responsible for that over the head with a baseball bat, and not feel any guilt or remorse over it.
Can bet, from the cats i saved, and gave money to no-kill shelter for, back in 2007, when i had some money from an insurance settlement, that the lowlife idiots who dumped the poor kitten have LOTS of money for booze and drugs----and without them having some pitiful addiction, just usual lowlifes forever on drugs and booze, for decades.
Hopefully, i wont see the cat dead on highway, when i walk out that way, though i know it will turn up dead. Just can't win; got a very rare car ride out to walmart before 8 tonight---and the driver pointed out poor kitten to me.

Oh God that\'s horrible! I have absolutely zero tolerance for animal cruelty. None. I would rather see an animal have to be put down in a shelter with caring people around it than leave it to die a horrible death like that. Sounds like YOU need a kitten! Animals are so good for depression and depression.
My precious Claudia was dumped in a ditch too. She breaks my heart every day with her illness. We can\'t save em all.
back in 2011, I saw about 5 cats together on a road near walmart---I thought at first they were turkeys! And that summer walmart cashiers, who would sit outside at 6 in morning on break, told me that people were dumping cats at walmart. My landlord also gets stuck with dumped cats.
the lowlife idiots who lived next door, and whose cats i was able to save, in 2007....one idiot next door stole stuff out cars a few buildings up on this street----and then sold the stolen stuff to a 2nd hand store a few buildings down on this same street! So, the trashy types who abandon cats really are idiots.
Sorry you had to see the poor kitten in that shape, Penn; doubly sorry that the kitten is in that predicament; at our local small town shopping mall, there are several stray cats; me and Hubby go take dry cat food every four days to them to eat; some of the folk who visit the mall are generous too in taking care of them because we have discovered empty cat food cans in the area; the restaurants leave their dumpsters open so the cats can go inside for scrap food; it\'s really sad; but it\'s the best any one can do aside from those folk who are able to adopt a cat or two and take them to live with them. It\'s really sad; I wish more folk would neuter and spay; we have a low cost neuter/spay clinic that will do dogs/cats for free using generous donations from folk with financial means and animal activists if the owners are very low income or elderly and can\'t afford the service; and you know what? The clinic says it still can\'t get some folk to bring their animals in to attempt to curtail the kitten/puppy explosion. Fortunately the local shelters are able to find home for puppy/dog\'s by sending them north to areas where there are mandatory neuter/spay so the folk want dogs and adopt them from down here since apparently there is a pet shortage because of the neuter/spay law; but the cats, now it must harder to find homes for cats because most of them wind up euthanized if placed in the shelter. Still, I know the clinic is telling the truth when the workers said they couldn\'t get folks to bring their pets in to get them done at low cost and sometimes no cost; I\'ve tried to get folks to take their cats/dogs to the clinic in attempt to stop all these hungry mouths from being added to the pet explosion; but I can\'t get the low life\'s to do it. Even when it will probably get down for no cost to the owners.
On the farm where we are tending in exchange for pasture rental, the owner of the farm adjoining it will not take her dogs to get neuter/spay and won\'t hardly feed them either, so me and Hubby take food to the farm with us for these animals to eat; it\'s just the generic food, but it beats nothing; her animals come to us for their food; it\'s really sad and makes me mad as H**L!! Every few weeks there are more puppies; and I think the woman\'s live in companion kills the puppies because we don\'t see them very long after the moma dog takes them back with her to the owner when the puppies get older. He has been known to do just that, instead of at least taking them to the shelter where a home may be found. It is so annoying when neuter/spaying would stop the ongoing delivery of new puppies. And the moma dogs are not wormed; they look horrible. So sad.

And, it is soooooooo frustrating, because we do well to feed our own dogs/cats, let alone this woman\'s dogs. Her animals are her responsibility, but I can\'t stand to see an animal hungry. The cats at the mall are at the mercy of whoever will take pity on them and provide food; they have no owner; but the woman who owns the farm adjoining the one we pasture our cattle is these dog\'s owner. She doesn\'t even take good care of her cattle. She\'s one of those folks who doesn\'t need animals, in my opinion, because she neglects them.
