Low blood Platelets

My PCP sent me to have another blood test and he had told me that my blood platelet is still low.  and told me to go see a hematologist.  After reviewing and dissecting this I am afraid.  3 yrs ago, I had panic attack, then insomnia and now this.  What the Heck is going on.  I am tired due to lack of sleep.  but I don't know what else to say except to play a waiting game on getting an appointment and wait to see what is wrong.  I hope this is treatable.  Very nervous. and praying very hard.
