Lover of the Moon

Here I am, I have to leave soon and I held on because I knew you would come, I knew you'd  come by the moon 
It’s late and I'm not gonna sleep because I know, when I wake you would have already gone  When the day comes I have to go but, now I want hold you close so I'm not alone
Here I am thoughtful of your perfect ways that are so wonderful,you make me want to shout but now the sky has cleared up, the stars have all burnt out. 
This has to always be hard for me, because I know when the sun comes up I will leave you'll  become just a memory stay with me please 
I never want to stop, because I know I'll have to start all over and that makes my heart drop
I hate the dark, but now that's all I want and when the day comes I'll be on my own without you as my spark
I'll want to hold you close and try to recover from all of my woes
