Lovely day

After surviving a somewhat tense Saturday morning with my son, Sunday went rather well with a sudden trip to a baby baptism that my son and his girlfriend asked if they could ride to with us.  Had a nice visit in the car, then a decent dinner and evening, at the end of which I drove the girlfriend home and had a nice time chatting with her just about stuff.  First time I have been alone with her.  Went very well.  No awkward silences at all. 
Today was fun.  Took my middle son and his fiancé to shop for his wedding clothes and also to pick out their wedding gift.  I bought them a bed.  Had fun watching them try them all.  Sales lady really nice and told them to appreciate how wonderful and generous a gift I was giving them.  After which they both thanked me several times.  Then best of all  she thought my cute little soon to be daughter in law was my daughter and my son was the fiancé.  Highlight of my day to have our relationship appear to be mother and daughter to a stranger.  I do love this girl so much.
