Lots of cleaning ,organizing today. we took care of a water pipe issue

Happy Monday :) Hi angel friends! :) my family, Holly,and i hope everyone is doing well, healthy,and enjoying a nice day,and we hope everyone is safe, from awful flooding due to the heavy rainfall. it was like a monsoon rainfall here this morning in southeastern ct. the rain was  falling like it was a hurricane rain. it eased,and began to rain heavily again this afternoon, but thankfully eased again. there's thankfully no reports of flooding in our city. i got drenched in the rain this morning when i went outside for my early morning nature walk, i wasn't out for too long. it's been one of those days, but we are going into the evening with some good hope that tomorrow will be better :) 

my dad and i took care of a water pipe  issue today, on the other side of our apartment. it's been a lingering issue with one of the water pipes, during winter time it doesn't leak much at all, but does a lot during summer season. we definitely need to get that pipe system fixed fully in the very near future. we have this bin on the other side of our basement, that collects the excess water, and  we use a  water pump and hose to pump the water outside our cellar door. we didn't have to pump the water in over 4 months, all of winter, and all of spring pretty much, but this past saturday we heard the water drips more, which means the bin is full. my dad and i pumped the water out before we went shopping saturday, but had to do it again on sunday,and there was more water flowing on other side of basement, it began to seep over here into our room, which happened a lot last summer. my dad opened up the water pipe valve, and we used a huge 15 foot pole to help unclog it, and it's all good again, and probably won't need to be pumped again for a while, but the pipe definitely needs to be fixed.

we've been running a hair dryer,and a fan here in our downstairs apartment, to dry the carpet area that got wet. it's coming along, and we're gonna dry the hallway area more later on. We're hoping to get the pipe fixed, my brother Bobby has been busy, and he knows  alot about plumbing, and the pipes here in the downstairs apartment. it's been a tiring day ,going back and forth to check in on the drying process, but it's coming along :) we're gonna do more laundry tomorrow, to wash mini rugs,and towels we used to help soak up some water. it's been a mess, but is getting better slowly. 

We'll definitely get some good rest tonight :) we did tune into the sports radio at time, and also keeping hydrated, enjoying some drinks, and also putting AC on at times. it's a drenching rain we recieved here today, our plants soaked it up :) we want to get our  carpet dry, and gonna keep drying into this evening, it's coming along well, and will hopefully be mostly dry by wednesday :) we haven't had to do this type of drying since lst summer, it's been a while, but we're prepared from last year's experiences, we're doing good, and looking forward to settling into the evening :) i'm gonna write a sweet treats tuesday journal tomorrow, as we get back on track with our days :) Tiger's been hanging out with us here in our living room :) We're gonna put some shows on tonight :)
