Lost my way, finding my way back
Been an outstanding functioning alcoholic the past year. I go to work every day and function reasonably well. No car accidents and no DUI's.
Birthdays, Christmas, wedding anniversaries, Fourth of July, even Halloween were dates that i planned to get sober.
Out of the clear blue, I get a friend request from Daily Strength. Why me? I haven't posted anything in months, maybe a year.
So I'm back on Daily Strength. Reading inspiring posts. Reminding myself about the disease. Remembering what it was like when I was sober one time for over 8 months.
Me, I work best when I have a goal. So I have two long range goals and two daily goals.
Long Range
1. Lose 15 lbs by the time I have a business convention in late October.
2. Ride in this year's MS 150, a 150 mile two day bicycle ride to raise money for multiple sclerosis.
Daily goals
1. To not have a drink of alcohol for the next sixty minutes.
2. To make at least one entry to this journal every day.
Got to go for now.
