Lost In OZ...
In a bit of a funk today. Is funny, but a few things did make me think of OZ. I do believe I am stuck there.
Earlier, chatting with someone. Til all was said and done, I did mention I was feeling a bit like the Wizard. Brave and full of strength and confidence when hiding behind that curtain. (Like here on the laptop)
Actually, now I am hearing old Dorothy sing somewhere over the rainbow...All find that which they dream of....Why Oh why can't I?

You are thinking wizard of oz I agree there is no place like home. I picture myself like the little mermaid singing wish I could be part of that world.
Some of us are the munchkins.!
Hugs my friend. Sometimes I wish I could fly away. Away from all the problems and people. But you will be fine. You are just being too hard on yourself. You are at the starting gate. But the light at the end of that tunnel will be bright and there is an amazing life at the other side. Hang on, my friend
I like that analogy. Brave when behind the curtain. Or is it a metaphor? Been too long since highschool I guess. It reminds me that my curtain has been inside me all this time and I am finally learning how to be in the world without that safety net. I am trying to open up more and it feels good. I am pretty sure, Queen that we both have struggled with this. Fear is a hell of a leash. Pulling us back from joining the world. Am I getting close? To fly we have to spread our wings first. Heck, to walk we have to stand up. Lets start with that. Maybe not doing that IS why can’t I. Everything I have been reading about living a whole life is based in practice. Being focused every day on building ourselves up. On all levels. Because , unfortunately, there’s no good witch who’s going to do it for us overnight. Even small steps in the right direction gets you somewhere. Love you! Put that funk in a trunk
Hugs Kim.
@finallyawake ---I am still hanging onto my curtain at times (does feel good without it though, but it is never far away)--- and that leash (fear) , well I do have stbx to yank me by that proverbial chain, keeping me from braving it back n the real world (where I am eventually headed) I need to slip out of that collar and do it now.
@ Jeff-- Yes, I would be glad to have some cheerful munchkins by my side. I can imagine some of many characters in me.. scarecrow... if I only had a brain? ---cowardly lion..... CCCOURAGE! ---tin man... no need for that heart..(mine is empty and broken )... but could use his oil can some mornings for stiff joints to loosen them back up. lol--- Glenda the good witch (always there to try to grant wishes for others)---and unfortunately the bad witch too (as stbx does occasionally led me to believe I am)
I do often wish for those ruby slippers... No place like home (a different one)
I feel like that sometimes. Life is a series of ups and downs.
God Bless
It had a happy ending.....
By golly, you are right.
Yes. I just saw that too. I feel warm and fuzzy inside now. Thanks for reminding us maryContrary. The simplest things are the most important.
