Lost in Cleveland:>O
To whomever gives a hoot,
I'm going to fill you in before I tackle the 200 or so emails I got while I was gone. Mostly ads!!
I've been up At the Cleveland Clinic for my 6 month check-up. I did very well, considering my Rheumy about killed me with those prolia injections! I was really worried I wouldn't be able to do the 6 minute walk, but I did!! Dr. said I'm very stable& I just may make the stem cell trials. YAY!!! ( Barring any unseen snafus) He said that. It's not just my opinion. They even have it noted that, that is was I'm really interested in.
We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel. It's right in the hospital & very nice. Not to mention convenient:>))

Debbie, I would be one of those that qualifies as giving a hoot. I am glad you did so well during your checkup, keep it up. And it is wonderful that it has been determined that your stable. It seems you had a very good trip. -- Take care, Bill
Fingers crossed for you that the stem cell trials are part of your \'to do list\'.
We all may chuckle if the medical field actually attempted to define \'stable\' for our situations ! I\'d probably need O2 & a snack to complete the \'circle 1-10 \' questionaire for stability.
Debbie, so glad things went well. Hope the next six months will be less stressful. Prayers also for the stem cell trials. Take care !
Moe
Dabbie it would be fantastic if you got in the stem cell trials, I pray that happens.
Sounds like your doing very well, being stable is excellent.
I hope the prolia injections work well for you too.
Easy breathing to you,
Love Holly
Holly, the prolia about killed me! Wouldn\'t suggest it for anyone. It was a nasty experience & it lasted so long. I\'m still feeling muscle weakness. My emphysema is stable though. They didn\'t comment on my mind :>))
Deb, so happy that you are past the 6 mos and on the road to stem cell therapy:)) If anyone can outlast this crap long enough to see the stem cell beginnings, then my money is on you.
Have a restful and rewarding weekend.
Hugs, Anna
That is great news Deb, I too have my fingers crossed for you, YAY!!!!
Love .
James.
Wow, Deb, that\'s wonderful news about your stable lungs! I\'ll be so interested to hear about the stem cell trials, and I admire your spunk and courage for wanting to do them. Sorry about the Prolia, though. Some drugs are just too nasty to contemplate. Love & hugs, Sue
Who wants to have a \"normal\" mind, anyway? LOL....I mean, would you rather be boring or have a quirk or two that makes you interesting?
Good goin\' girl on the stability...sorry to hear about the Prolia. It just popped in my mind that those without COPD don\'t really know how brave we have to be sometimes!
And stem cell research...well, I think that\'s going to be the eventual answer to all of this.
Luv to u,
Joni

well glad to hear the good news.....I hope they didn\'t give you any more of those shots that kill you ....and make you all warn out....
but in truth to be able to dream you might be able to have a new lung is so wonderful....I truely think God is on your side with this one....hope he stays there...and I\'m keeping my fingers cross or double cross...maybe my leggs cross too...just in case...smile.
hurry back when you feel good sure do miss you.
hugs

Thanks for all the good lucks. Gotta get my muscles back that I lost from the prolia injection & I would never recommend it to anyone. Was a horrible 4 months or so. Deb
So glad to hear your appointment went so well. I hope you can do the stem cell research. I think that would be wonderful. They are doing remarkable things in medicine with stem cells. Good luck.
Karen
So happy your appointment went well. Stem cell seems to be the way things are going now, I think you are well to do the testing for it.
Missed you and hope to hear from you soon.
Hugs, Terry
