lost another 1/2 lb

Frustrating:  3 weeks in a row of only 1/2 lb each.  I was kind of hoping for 1-2 lbs to be honest per week.  I am headed to Zumba class shortly.  Food is pretty good.  Exercise is pretty good.  Gave myself a pedicure this AM.  Did a crappy job but it was my first time.  I wanted to wear the new sandals I got for my birthday that were still in the box.  I will try to keep practicing and get better.  Down to 153.5 lbs.
Got my hair cut and colored yesterday.  Feel better.  took my time and put my makeup on this AM. (I have been so blah and lazy the last few months!)  Went to church with Paul and David and felt good.
Trying to get better with drinking my water.  Two more weeks to vacation in San Diego and other places in California.  I am really looking forward to getting the new puppy 7/31/11!  Took Kona for 45 minute walk yesterday and day before.

I understand the frustration on only loosing 1/2 pound but think positive...it is a loss! And I found out that the slower you lose the easier to keep it off when you get to maintain mode! Think positive!
I just order new sandals so I will be over so you can practice pedicures on me! LOL

Exercise builds muscle mass which is the very best thing we can have for maintaining weight loss. Muscle mass is denser than fat and so it weighs more which may cause us to appear to be not losing as much weight as we should -- but it may be we are creating muscle mass and that is \'throwing off\' the actual pounds of fat we are losing. I\'m now at 148 pounds and should be 155 but I think underweight up to ten pounds may actually be good over the long run. It has felt pretty good eating without the idea of weight loss being an issue any longer.

Stockton, CA was really hot today - perhaps around 100 degrees I would think. I sat on the back patio in the shade but even there I was sweating so I had to come inside pretty quick to the AC. I don\'t have to use it much but it is a life saver when the heat becomes intense.

45 minute walks are super!!! Kona must be so happy by this too.

I rarely put on make up these days with being stuck at home sick - that is an advantage of being stuck at home I had not considered until just now while reading your post LOL My joy is the garden so I don\'t need to fuss with too much anymore. It would be nice to one day have reason to get all dressed up and head out someplace with \'real\' people -- perhaps one day when I meet up with some good people that don\'t mind the challenges I\'m faced with. Now that I\'m \'changing the people I hang out with it may bring some good people along one day -- that would be fun.

I\'m smiling for you :-)

Enjoy your new sandals. Practice and the pedicure will be wonderful.
You are doing great with your weight loss. it\'s not what you wanted but at least you have lost. Keep it up and you will be at your goal before you know it.
