Losing weight

Ever since I broke my hip, I have been in a wheel chair or on crutches as I wait for an ulcer to heal on my foot, but I have noticed these last few months I have put on a lot of weight, It might be lack of excercisers I do or the too much bread I eat lol or both?

Either way I dont feel good about myself and my tummy and I also feel like I am bloated, so I am on the look out to lose weight now, but with being partially disabled I am not to sure how I can do excerciers, I am defo going to cut down on bread and eat better but feel I need to do some sort of excercisers but not to sure what someone in a wheel chair or crutches can do that isnt to strenguios (Spell?)

any advice would be appreciated

Thank You

my weight problem is underweight, so my own studies are on how to gain weight, but exercise and steady diet help in that effort, too. i do quite a few of my exercises laying down (sit-ups, etc), so i wonder if that would be an option for you.

for sure, i found quite allot of suggestions when i did a web search on "wheelchair exercises."

What happens when you are used to moving around and you are moving around a lot less is that you feel bloated easier.

Try adding simple exercises 'sitting down' to help stretch and loosen the muscles and tone up the action.

Add different foods that taste enjoyable.

There is young fellow in a wheelchair who comes to the gym, I haven't paid close attention but I do see him lifting weights and also the exercises where he pulls himself up out of his wheelchair and into a standing position. I'm sure if you looked on line you would get lots of good suggestions for exercises that you can do according to your abilities.

Google "wheelchair exercise". There are lots of low impact exercises that you can do as a handicapped person. And exercises can be adapted to fit your fitness level. And intensified as you advance.

I have found that my biggest issue can be motivation. I just need to get started. Once I start, I can continue.

Good luck!!
