Losing my wife and daughter
It has been almost 7 months sense my life was turned upside down. On March 29th my wife, son and daughter set out on a journey that would forever change my life. They left on a spring break journey, one they have done years past and due to the fact that I had job that I had committed to, I could not go. A decision I still and will always question. We had made a decision to go back into business for ourselves due to the economy and on this day I had told my employer I was not coming back to work. I went to my new job, to start a new chapter in our lives, little did I know how it was going to go. About 3 hours later I got the call that changed how this chapter would go. The hospital needed me to come right away to ok treatment on my son, but would say anymore. The doctor said to have someone else drive the hour to the hospital. I kept asking why my wife Sherry could ok this, was she ok, could she not talk or what. Then the overwhelming fear about my daughter what about her? The hurt, pain, sadness and crying was just the beginning of a very long day. After arriving there, I was put into a room and asked to wait for the doctor. Then came the fear, oh my did it ever. I new it was not good when the doctors, Chaplin and sheriff deputies came in. My son by the grace of God some how had survived, but had suffered a broken neck and needed to be airlifted to major hospital. My wife of 20 years died on impact and my beautiful daughter of 11years died 45 min after the accident. How do I move on and try to have a new life when half of me is gone??? The Lord is the only one who knows that.
