Losing All Hope
So far my goal to stop drinking Coke has been successful. I decided to stop drinking it in January and only had 1 on February 11th after going 31 days without it. Starting my count over from February 11th, I have now gone 25 days without it and hope to go at least a full 31 days without drinking it again.
I have also been trying to exercise regularly using my leg bike, and am doing okay in this area, but not as well as I'd like.
In general though, I feel completely hopeless right now. It hurts me so much to see my family suffer with multiple health problems, and to know that instead of treating us doctors have thrown us away like garbage. It's so rare to be referred to a doctor who treats us like valued members of society, deserving of respect and basic human rights ... such a doctor sounds almost mythic to me now. Thinking of how my family has been treated by the medical profession - the only people with the power to help us - I can't help but wonder if many doctors view the sick as their enemy: a subversive race that seeks to undermine and threaten their security, power, status, and reputations. What must they think of us to treat us as they have, and yet why are there some who wouldn't dare dismiss us as a drain on society the way some view the poor - weak, feeble, the cause of our own downfall, unwanted wherever they go much the same as vermin?

I understand what you\'re saying here. My Mom expected the doctors to \"fix\" her but they never did. Instead of giving her 2 thyroid hormone, they gave her an antidepressant. I experienced a lot of hormone problems which I figured out on my own thru my personal research. I first asked God to help me find valuable information, He put it in front of me, I used it so today, I no longer take thyroid hormone. I have a new problem, chronic stress which leads to Adrenal Fatigue so I\'m helping myself with that. YOU must help yourself. I\'ve been thru 7 doctors and none of them figured out the real problem -- I did. There is no doctor that is going to help you; they will pump you up with drugs instead of the nutrients that God made us with. OUR bodies are no different than a car. You re-fill it with gas when it runs outa gas; you don\'t put anything else in the GAS tank. OUR bodies are the same, when we are run down and fatigued, you put in the nutrients that our bodies are made with, the same nutrients that are in healthy foods. It\'s great that you cut out soda. I did too a long time ago, it depletes calcium. I am also in the process of cutting out coffee (caffeine); I am down to 1 cup a day.
