Losing
I'm losing. I'm losing the battles. The bed is quickly becoming his as he caged me in again last night. I have to get up once every night to go to the bath room so he gets another start for the battle. I'm not giving up. Just wait till winter when he wants under the covers. That'll be under my rules. The computer battle is bloody. His little claws dig into my arm when he tries to stop me from using it. I guess he didn't get the attention he needed from is former owners and wants as much as he can get. The recliner is a draw. If I win the battle for the computer, he takes over the recliner as he has now. He's pretty good about giving it back to me so far. Milk bones are still being "buried" around the house. Its amazing the places he finds, including, still, the recliner. On a happy note, he's having a blast with the toys. I brought the toys Foxy stopped playing with and he's taken to them like a cat and catnip. He loves the big rope that is as long as he is and we have great tug-of-wars. He'll play with it even after we've played. He's learning to play fetch with the ball although he likes playing keep away with it more. The stuffed bone gets many trips around the house including visits to me on the recliner. The unstuffed toy gets a workout as well. I wish he would eat more. I can feel his ribs when I pick him up. It may be that he's still nervous about being in a new home. His eating habits will be different than Foxy's. No human food although I've been tempted and he has begged. Only dog food and doggie treats for him. I guess, we're both making adjustments although I think I'm making more than him.
