Looks like passivity is a non starter
So much for passivity. Got my first test today. I was planning to have lunch with my friend tomorrow. She texted with an update on how busy her day is going to be but not quite getting to the point o whether we would see each other. My first passivity test. My response to the unclear text? Ok. That's it. I said ok.
Within 60 seconds she texted back commenting on my thoughtful reply. Obvious sarcasm.
Believe me it was tempting to say fuck it, I don't give a good goddamn any more. Run your errands, see your boyfriend. Not my problem.
But noooooo. I respond saying I was just leaving for the airport (true) and wasn't thinking (not true). And could I help save her running around, etc.
In case there's any doubt, I'm a fucking idiot.
And, yes, heyjoules, it does help to post and read responses. Gives me the time and opportunity to think about everything instead of just stewing and seething, and loving, by myself.

Ok , I agree to pick up something for my friend that wil save her 2 hours of running around. I\'m going to see her in her office anyway because I have an appointment with her boss. On the plus side , I did not make any reference to getting together for lunch. I know it\'s not much , but for me that\'s a small success. So my phone is off for a couple of hours and what text is there when I power back up ? Friend suggests lunch. Yes, loving sap that I am, I say sure, why not. Stay tuned. Though I think we can all predict the long term outcome.
At her office now. Having lunch later. Learned that she\'s introducing kids to boyfriend. Could I be more miserable? I\'d have to think about that. Lunch could be interesting. It won\'t be good. , but it could be interesting. On one positive note she\'s going away for a long weekend , so probably no texting, though if I don\'t and she\'s expecting it , I know I\'m going to get a snarky comment. I tell you I wish I had the balls to get a divorce and ask kee to marry me.
