Looking up
One of the woods I sell is called basswood. It's used for carving. There is alot of competition on ebay so the prices are pretty cheap so I don't make much profit on it.
The only reason why I carry it is to help out a neighbor of mine who owns a sawmill. His mill burned down awhile ago putting him and his sons out of work. All his neighbors got together and helped him rebuild because he had no insurance on his buildings. Insurance for dangerous jobs like that is outrageously high.
I also have my basswood listed on Amazon. I don't know if my competitor ran out of stock or what but I have sold so much this past week, I am almost out! I even raised my prices to slow things down but people seem to still be buying!
I paid my neighbor a visit to order more so I'll have some for the next Christmas season. (It takes 6 months to air dry) The poor guy just had knee surgery and couldn't come to the door so his wife made a note of it.
So I've been pretty busy the last few weeks. It's been steady. I haven't been able to rest much but at the same time, I am not getting behind. I guess they say that God doesn't give us more then we can handle. I believe in that!
I have also made time at least once a day to jog a minimum of 2 miles and that's when I pray and meditate. I know that has helped me also, as well as the prayers of my friends here. Thankyou! It's had a positive, cumulative affect!
On another note...I burned myself the other day while working in my shop. I got too close to my wood stove and my leg touched the side of it. It was very painful but I have been taking advil and it's helping. But it hasn't slowed me down or stopped me from achieving my goals, Thank God!
Yesterday had some fun with ex and her bf. She won a trip to cancun so was reading up about it online and in the background at the website she was on, there was music playing. So I was working at packaging and labeling my orders when I started to get stimulated by the music playing and began doing a little latin dance which I kinda made up along the way. Ex was laughing pretty hard and her bf told me he wished I was going down there with them!
Life is good again!
