looking for land//cousins on the phone//w took down the light and slat of railing while i was out?!!

washed the christmas stuff, though i doubt i'll use it this year.  i want to go either gold or pink for christmas and the stuff i just washed is red and dark red with appliques of elves on it.  beautiful, but not what i'm looking for.

this seems to be cousin week.  i am looking for land in north west florida and found land and house in jay, florida for a steal.  except not sure i want that big a spread.  my cousins were like, if you move to that area, please don't visit aunt betti because she doesn't deserve it.  she is the aunt that is/was a closet alcoholic since back when all of us were kids (3 out of 4 of her kids moved to california and oregon at the end of 1988, and the oldest two raised the younger two, especially the youngest one that moved with them out west.  only the youngest boy (child number 3) still lives in pensacola), the youngest daughter doesn't even KNOW betti and she is betti's daughter.

also spoke with one of the step cousins.  how is it that people know when you are readying for an adventure/change.  she says to me, it must be nice to live in all different places and be able to stay here or stay there.  mry and i were talking about living on a boat as well.  its her dream, not mine, but j doesn't want to do that at all.  gny says to me, it must be nice to be able to just live here and live there and stay in all different places when you want to.  she is serious.  i used to think she was nagging when she would say something like that.  like i don't work or go to school.  i wasn't getting her point.  gny CAN'T do the live everywhere thing.  she has phobias plus she is a problem because she leaves doors open AND  ajar, even in the middle of the night and a few other things.

her brother does an imitation of it, so your mother tries to kill you with a butcher knife.  your step-cousin gets you out of there and lets you stay at her house in florida.  in return you steal your cousin's ENTIRE collection of disney porcelains, complete with the appraisals and the insurance policy rider your cousin has for them.  he loves doing this.  she turns red.  but to this day, i haven't gotten them back.  if j was sitting here, he would say, i hate those people.

gny and i used to have sleep overs as kids.  i always assumed she had sleepovers all over the place too, because i did that when i was growing up.  she didn't.  just to my house.  she says, you are the only one i do that with - not even her brothers.  she did used to stay at her older brother's when she'd babysit, but it never worked out.  gny was the one that leaves doors open.  she did the same thing at my house.

when i lived in spain i lived with more than one family and then on my own.  when i got back, i lived with my stepfather, and then on my own and then with my boyfriend at the time, i had an open invite at crl's and crl's parents and some people from the shore...my cousins in nyc, my aunt in nyc, cousins in tennessee, step in california, aunts in suisa and england...if it was further back my grandmother in nyc and an uncle in europe.  i always assumed that everyone does that...lots of sleepovers and stayovers and vacations and summer homes....gny isn't the first one to say that to me, an ex of mine did and the step that is a lot of trouble also mentioned it - he would stay with girlfriends as needed, but no one else would put up with him.

the ex would crash at our house all the time and even tried doing that after we broke up and my father had a fit and should.  you couldn't trust him at all.   guess its another reason they say buy a piece of land as a safety net, its not just for storage and something to do on weekends, its also a place to live if necessary.

w appears to be making trouble. what is it with him? shocking when he does this. he took down my light for outside, that was on a post and took down the post, without asking me and put the light up in the middle of the railing, not on a post but on a piece of wood. good light area, but it was ridiculous, i\'d have bought another post. wth? nice of him to put up the light but better to ASK. or try it when i\'m home. that was probably 1 1/2 years ago or even two years? i\'d have to look it up on here to know. so recently he took down my light, when i wasn\'t home WITHOUT ASKING. he says it was leaning. i know that, that is why i had it tied and the guy fixing it can\'t do it for another TWO WEEKS.

then w starts railing that he wanted me to wash down the mildew on the second story deck railing and slats on my house, and he would have put up the new post FOR FREE. he was really mad about this. i explained to him that i\'ve had health issues all summer and was away for a week and i\'m only at the beach house one day per week, but telling that to someone who is home 24/7 like he is, doesn\'t do any good. to him, he would do it for free, so why didn\'t i take off my suit, put on grubby clothes, clean the mildew and he\'d do the light. hmmmm, well, i can\'t, i have work. i also can\'t because i\'d need to get a new post. wth?

then he starts telling me he wants me to paint the exterior of the house and lattice fence, and the deck. the deck? our deck is second story. he could only know the deck is pealing if he went up to the second story. wth? i couldn\'t believe it. i had mentioned a year ago that pm doesn\'t want improvements done on the house while she is fighting with the bank and he says it affects his house then. really? how? our house is bigger than his house and half of the houses around here aren\'t \"perfect,\" this is a historical area.

so then there is a slat from the railing REMOVED and placed under the lounge chair on the upstairs deck. the slat was loose on the bottom. it took me 30 minutes to get the nail OUT to reattach it, and a piece was broken to get it off. that is VANDALISM. so he comes over when i\'m working on it, and i say to him someone vandalized the railing. i was FURIOUS.

he says to me, that he installed the sunroom on this house ten years ago before we were living here and before pm\'s mother bought the house. he told me the same thing, when he switched the light and took down the bush when i wasn\'t home. so let me comprehend the logic here, you built the sunroom for the neighbor who owned the house in 2004, so to you that means vandalism in 2013 is okay?

its lovely that he is helpful when he helps with things, but what in the world is this? i have health issues right now, i can\'t deal with more crap. then he says that he took apart the light and left the wires, so i should find the breaker to shut it off. SURE. which one is that? wish he had left it as it was, on the post where it was. he said the trees were interfering with the sensor in the light and that is why we needed a new light every two years. hmmmm well now we need a new post and its less than two years. i hope he doesn\'t turn this into something else. he always blames don and bty when he does this ...

when kv was here he blamed kv ... he also took down the trellis that was on both sides of the front door that HE didn\'t like and blamed the wind. bulshit. its not his to touch. i liked the trellis, it gave the house charm. he also took down the bush on the opposite side when it got ill and said it would spread and die. i found the same thing on the bush on the opposite side and just cut it back and its fine. its going too far. i think he didn\'t like that the bush and the trellises blocked his view of the house, but that is too creepy to think about.

Get the land! I would. In this economy and the crazy state this nation is in, it\'s wonderful to know you have a back up plan. We\'ve tried to sell our house twice in Jersey. The market isn\'t good! If you can get a good deal on property, please do it! Maybe we\'ll come down there and build on it!! LOL....

That sounds like way too much of the drama-llama. I think you should get the land, too. It\'s good to have a backup plan.

the guy that looked at the light today, says, paint protects the wood from weather and bugs and if you don\'t paint regularly, then the sooner you will need all new wood! but even if you paint, the areas that paint can\'t reach, will get soft and then you have to replace anyway. wouldn\'t it be easier to just never use wood? he says by the beach we have subterranean termites to watch out for and on the mainland where there is oak trees there are two kinds of termites, doesn\'t matter what your house is made of. very informative. guess i better buy paint, and start doing a little at a time. boy, am i so not into this kind of crap. so much easier to just have a condo and then a big piece of land near by for animals.
